I have been reading about citrus pectin as a detoxifier. I just ordered some Pectasol. It is also supposed to remove heavy metals and toxins. Anyone heard anything about it??? Raven

Feeling 98% well-going for 100. Very low test for Cpni. CAPi since 8-05 for Cpn/Mycoplasma P.,Lyme, Bartonella, Mold exposure,NACi,BHRT, MethyB12 FIRi Sauna. 1-18-11 begin new treatment plan with naturopath

Perhaps a word of caution to anyone who does not know their metal/biofilms/yeast toxicity levels (re the recommencdation Bactisolve - 25 mg of EDTA and the MetalAway - 100 mg of EDTA or any product)

Product with EDTA in them have the potential to make you very ill/uncomfortable initially, depending on what you may be harboring.   I am not discounting the products....... I would recommend anyone who does not have knowledge of chelating to read up on it or work with your physician.

For those who haven't experienced EDTA, it would be wise  to read the ingredient listing on the products and start low.  Especially anyone who has gastritis, ulcerative collitis or colon/intestinal  issues.  The gastric affect of EDTA can be quite different than gastrointestinal distress from doxyi or antibioticsi.

N-acetyl-glucosamine can be added to the list.

minocycline, azithromycine, metronidazolei 2007-2009, chelation for lead poisoning, muscle pain, insomnia, interstitial cystitisi (almost well), sinus, dry eyes, stiff neck, veins, hypothyroid, TMJ, hip joints (no longer hurt)

Very Interesting Raven.  I had not heard of that product thanks for adding that name of it to the list.

Janice thanks, again I had not come across your posted supplement either. I'll also add in here, (taken from a post by you that I just read on antother thread)...

Garden of Life DetoxiFiber to absorb toxins and encourage regular stools which help move out toxins as well.

I do hope there will be some more contributions of products to the list of options intended to to assist the body in the clearing the metals that are released from the bacterial biofilms that some people acumulated.

Here's an interesting links regarding side effect of EDTA (calcium disodium):

this one is about IV EDTA Chelation http://www.holisticonline.com/Chelation/chel_side_effects.htm<

this one is about Oral EDTA (calcium disodium) Chelation  http://www.chelationtherapyonline.com/articles/p113.htm<

Jeanneroz, I am sure that readers here at CPnhelp would be very interested in reading about the detail your personal experiences from the vantage point of your blog space, or even a thread pointed at discussing EDTA (calcium disodium) . Specifically, a more experientially based forum topic might have some lively discussion and be very educational and informative and not be lost nor side track the intent of this topic.

I'd be interested in discussing what I have recently learned from my reading of late so far for me it has all be reading on this topic I cannot speak from personal experience at this point.

I do hope you will be interested in sharing more about your personal reactions to supplementsi in your blogspace or another Forum topic discussing the side effects and personal experiences.

Here is an existing forum topic where you comments would fit very nicely: http://www.cpnhelp.org/anyone_who_doing_chelati_2<

I hope that you will be willing to add to that topic discussionor even start a Forum topic or a Blogpage for your sharing as opposed to taking this Forum topic of in another direction.

In comparison, just as doxycycline can have upleasant gastric effects on some people  but it is needed as a part of the CAPi treatment, unfortunately, metals are something that do not generally go away on their own even over time they need to be absorbed from the bowel to be excreted, some method to encourage the excretion in necessary to avoid retaining it for the viruses and bacteria to use again.  There are a number of agents of which EDTA is considered the best option by some practitioners.  This forum was started to begin a location reference the various ways that usere may be aware of, and that can be used for the process of chelation in removing metals toxic metals from the body.

I do hope you insights into your recent untoward experiences with taking  EDTA (calcium disodium) can be shared for those who may benefit and may have need of to know of your experience with it.   And I'll be sure to keep a lookout for your possible posting your experience on the topic.   It would certainly be a shame to loose the benefit of your experiences being shared.

Considering this is a forum topic recommending products,  I felt the need to put a word of caution out -- it was not misdirecting the thread  (but your comments and now mine are ;) but rather adding additional pertinent information about the products -- the fact they have EDTA in them and they could have adverse side effects.

It was helpful you re-edited your posts to include the ingredient lists (even though individuals could look them up themselves if they so desired).

We have alot of new members here,  some of which may not have a clue what EDTA (or biofilms) does or how it could make them feel and I felt a due diligence to bring it to the front.

I also note you've now edited your posts to include a list of  possible side effects.  Had you done this initially, I'd probably not have commented.

Thanks for editing your posts to provide this relative information.

Zeolite is another substance used as a chelator.

Zeolites are natural minerals formed thousands or even millions of years ago, that work as other chelating agents do, absorbing metals and drawing them out so your body can eliminate them.

http://www.lyme-disease-research-database.com/lyme_disease_blog_files/zeolite-cowden-protocol.html<

You can order Zeolite through Nutramedix (http://www.nutramedix.com< ), this company offers all of the herbal supplementsi listed on Dr. Lee Cowden's core protocol for treating Lyme.
