At last, official approval of Vit DSubmitted by robertd on Tue, 2010-03-02 15:22. Well at last there is official recognition of the benefit of Vit D supplementation for MSi. Went to see my neurologist yesterday for my yearly dose of patronisation and a pat on the head, to be told that yes, we are recommending supp doses of 10000 iu of D3 per day together with essential fatty acids. A bit of a turnaround from the last visit when I was told that vitaminsi weren't important, they're just voodoo. RED you surely are vindicated.

Hi Robert, Glad to hear it!
Hi Robert,
Glad to hear it! Unfortuantely many docs are also starting to prescribe "Vit D3" here in the States. Unfortunately they don't realize that they are actually prescribing Vit D2, and apparently, as I've just learned through someone else, neither do many pharmacists (which I find more surprising, actually)...
Still, glad to hear docs are starting to get the picture. Now, if they'd just get the technical parts right too...
Thanks for the good news!
