Another step for Todybear

Today is another big day. I will start Azith today. I haven't had too much trouble with the Doxyi, some burning stomach and moments of real weakness but primarily emotional upsets. I had a really rough mother's day yesterday. Spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself in tears and know that I felt unusual inside. I find some improvement in my feet, much less pain and swelling at this point. I have been on the suppliments for six weeks and the Doxy for 12 days. So today I will add the Azith. I hope to be able to keep my act together as it is time to work in my greenhouse more, I have 100's of seedlings that need their mommy.

Hope it all goes well.   Feeling needed is great is takes you out of yourself... Sorry to hear that you felt so long on mother's day.   Hopefully next mother's day will be a different story.

Tody - Sorry to hear you had

Tody - Sorry to hear you had a rough Mother's day.  I bet your whole family would say that you are an amazing mother!

Glad you have improvement in your feet and are ready to add the azithromycin.  It's a good step in the right direction.  Be prepared though - if your emotions continue to be weepy - you may already have some porphyriai creeping up.  Hang in there though and double dig yourself deep into the trench because you have a long way to go but you are ON YOUR WAY !

By the way - I too am a gardner and have a greenhouse.  I have seeded about a hundred moonflowers and finally have shoots up this week.  Love love love to see moonflowers on a summers eve.  To be that beautiful and fragrant for just one night - gives me chills !

Daisy - Husband on CAPi 5/07.   Roxyi, Diflucan round three 4-4, Rifampin, Bactrim DS, Mepron 4-6, Prednisone, Novantrone, Doxyi, Azithromycin, Flagyli, Minoi

Tody, I agree with Daisy

Tody, I agree with Daisy there - the porphyriai does creep up on you somewhat.  About 3 weeks after Paula was on the full dose of Roxyi, her moods rapidly went downhill and I was on the receiving end of it a lot of the time.  Activated Charcoal is a MUST - even this early on in the protocol.

Todybear, The gloom you

Todybear, The gloom you speak of has visited my abode many times. Sometimes...just a mild case of the blues, sometimes silly enough to trick myself into thinking I am a burden to my family, but always very temporary. Remember that and try to float above it's 'temporariness'--it'll pay off in spades. ;) Greenhouses are little bits of heaven. You and Daisy are fortunate to have them. To me there are few places that compare to the calm, beauty and serenity of a greenhouse in bloom. Enjoy! -kk2

I love to grow things, my mom told me that I was born with my fingers in the dirt. It's a very cold spring here in Manitoba, Canada, so everything is late. It's still freezing here at night so my family has to carry in flats and flats of seedlings to the house each night and back out each morning as the greenhouse is not heated. Hopefully we will see some really summer temperatures soon.

I have studied up on prophyria and hope to do what I can to prevent it or at least keep it managable. Got any secrets on how to do that? Nice to talk to a fellow grower.

KK2 I will try to keep the emotional thing in perspective. You must know how hard it is at times if you have dealt with it personally. It's hard enough to deal with the illness with faculties intact, but subtract rational thoughts and replace it with the Kleenex box, it's not a pretty picture. At the end of the day, there's a new one on the horizon. I guess it's just one day at a time. Bless you for your support.
