Ginger for CAP Side Effects

Ginger is helpful for those yucky Flagyl feelings of loss of appetite, nausea and general grottiness. Take a fresh piece of ginger root (organic if you can get it) peel it and cut into small pieces and press in a garlic press. Press the juice into a glass with crushed ice, add some bubbly mineral water and a slice of lemon. If you want, mince ginger and add to a stir fry. Fresh root is the most potent. I remembered this remedy last night when I was on my last day of a 5 day pulse and felt slightly nauseous and not hungry. After drinking the ginger drink, I felt better, was able to eat dinner and woke up feeling better this morning.

Ginger is a potent anti inflammatory. I don't think ginger ale would work. Fresh raw ginger root is what you need.

Thanks, Raven. I also find

Thanks, Raven. I also find fresh ginger is the absolute best when I am cold outside and inside, pulsing or not.

I haven't measured my temp before and after, but when you're subnormal, it really seems to help. I don't know whether it clogs up the activated charcoal, so I don't use it during the 2hr before and after windows.

I even keep an 'antler' of fresh ginger in a drawer at work -- it keeps pretty well without refrigeration. Of course, when I can afford it, I get my ginger and a healthy dose of turmeric at the Raj Mahal, my favorite Indian restaurant.

Yes, ginger is recommended

Yes, ginger is recommended by my accupuncturist for raising body temperature.Would help with those chills we get from endotoxinsi. She also said that in China it is grated and used on the lower legs as a compress to increase circulation in elderly patients. It's a relative of Tumeric and something everyone should have in their green pharmacy.

I adore ginger any way I

I adore ginger any way I can get it, I love the homemeeade gignerale recipe. Thanks Raven! Thai dishes often have fresh pieces in them. One dish I lke has a ginger dressing hot and sweet and you take a spinach leaf in your hand, add the dressing and a small diced piece of ginger and one of lime and one of peanut and cocnut and jalapeno and then bingo a little -SPICY HOT- appetizer all assembled at your table by you. Only my hubby will eat that with me, everyone else says too much. ANy of you pepper bellies that go to the Thai restaurants that serve this appetizer try it!
We also matchstick dice ginger then fry it and put it as a crunchy curly topping to salad also.
And make ginger bread from fresh ginger too for the ginger lover it is fab that way not insipid and lost as the regular kind is. It'll bite back!
It s a great wonderful food! marie

I chop up a bunch of raw

I chop up a bunch of raw ginger into my morning smoothie every day. It's very helpful for both the doxyi-stomach upset stuff and it seems to help with pain also.

 Raven, I must appreciate

Raven, I must appreciate your advice. Without ginger I wouldn't be able to go through the pulses of the metronidazol.  Now fourth day on pulse.

Ron, you are right. Only

Ron, you are right. Only the majority of doctors are still stone deaf and blind to reality, as blind as a bat! The authorities don't want to listen, including WHO!
